Creative Marketer Launches “MockedUP,” an AI-Generated CEO Q&A Series That Reimagines the Job Interview

Introducing MockedUP | Featuring a mock interview Q & A with Netradyne's CEO
1. CEO: Mike, what drew you to Netradyne and our mission?
Mike: I’ve always been energized by companies that are rewriting the rules in legacy industries — and Netradyne is doing exactly that in transportation. Combining AI with computer vision to actually prevent collisions rather than react to them? That’s not just innovation — that’s impact. I want to be part of something that saves lives, interests me....... and scales commercially at the same time.
2. CEO: You’ve worked in tech, real estate, and retail. How does that translate to a fast-scaling, AI-focused fleet safety company?
Mike: I’ve been the comms lead during hyper-growth moments and messy pivots. Whether it was IoT in hospitality, AI in beverage inventory, or RFID in ticketing, my skill lies in decoding complex technology and turning it into irresistible storytelling — for truck drivers, fleet managers, investors, and the press alike. I also bring a knack for finding the human angle in every feature set. Heck, I've translated incoherent German Techno Babble into cogent English...that's not that easy.
3. CEO: We move fast. Really fast. How do you keep up and keep content quality high?
Mike: I combine my creative instincts with AI and automation to generate content that’s high-quality and on-brand at scale. I might start with a ChatGPT brainstorm, refine in Notion AI, and then run video snippets through Descript or Opus. Today, I still mentor young students at the University of Florida. You would be surprised how little they know about social, brand building etc. I created an easy to use content portal for them. + It's used by 17 to 50 year olds, presently.
4. CEO: What’s your approach to media relations in a crowded tech space?
Mike: Be useful, be timely, be relevant ; maybe weird sometimes— in the best way. I tailor every pitch to the outlet and writer, with data or a fresh take. For a brand like Netradyne, I'd package safety data into digestible narratives and use real-driver stories to humanize the tech. That’s how you get journalists to care and open their inbox. On the other hand, most CEO crave publicity. It does not always come easy, some tech is just not sexy. One brand I consult is FOUNDRY. It's sometime pulling teeth to get them in the news. + But I've done it.
5. CEO: Tell me how you’ve used AI in your PR and marketing workflow.
Mike: I’m AI-friendly, and I use tools like ChatGPT, Meta, Grok 3 for rapid ideation and adjusting imagery and brain storming. AI lets me move from “blank page” to production-ready in hours instead of days — freeing up time for strategy and storytelling that sticks.
6. CEO: We have engineers and scientists who aren’t natural storytellers. Can you work with them?
Mike: Absolutely. I love nerds. My dad was an Avionics pioneer and Engineering Scientist. He invented and has patents on numerous Avionics devices used in major airline cockpits. I sit with engineers, ask a dozen questions, and translate jargon into messaging that resonates — without dumbing it down. It’s about building trust with internal stakeholders and crafting stories they’re proud to share, even if they never would’ve written them themselves.
7. CEO: How do you define success in a role like this?
Mike: Success means media mentions in the right places — sure. But it also means fleet managers understanding our value in 10 seconds, employees feeling proud to repost our content, and reporters thinking “I need to call Netradyne” when safety or AI comes up. It’s a mix of awareness, influence, and internal alignment.
8. CEO: You seem like a creative guy. But how do you handle boring tasks — the dashboards, the reports, the rinse-and-repeat work?
Mike: You cannot always be creative. Sometimes you have to roll up your Brooks Brothers sleeves and do some in the trenches work. I don’t mind the grind — I optimize it. I build templates, automate reporting, and use tools like Airtable or HubSpot to track impact. Boring isn’t bad; it’s where you find hidden gold. And the more you systematize the routine, the more room you leave for the bold.
9. CEO: What would your 90-day plan look like?
Mike: Listen first — to the product team, drivers, fleet clients, and execs. Audit everything: our media presence, content cadence, internal comms, and what’s working (or not). Then I’d build a PR engine, scale brand storytelling across video/blog/social, and prepare an aggressive Q4 media blitz tied to key product wins. I'm good at finding stories where there are no stories.
10. CEO: Final question: What’s one story about you that captures how you think outside of the tech box and shows off what you have in your cerebrum?
Mike: I got this marketing and content gig for a distressed shopping mall for one year. It paid fairly well and was a good contract during their transition. A giant part of this mall was torn down; a real PR nightmare.
The General Manager told me I beat out at least 50 or so Zoomers with this mock interview with my pal + Piers Morgan? They called me 10 minutes after I sent it over; I got the job. BOOM.
It took me and a video guy about 30 minutes to pull it off. It's far from brilliant, nor is it a top notch production. We have to still lip sinc it better....... but it was hella effective. + Want to see it?
